Ecclesiastes 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
My eyes roll to and fro as I observe the young men and women mostly in the same age bracket as myself
and I ask, “ what on earth are we looking for?”
Life is like a garden you know, and the beauty of yours depends on the seeds you choose to plant. Moses put it this way in Genesis, “as long as the earth remains, there shall be planting and harvest”
Only a few people actually wake up with the notion to make a difference in the world.
Everybody wants to be somebody but nobody wants to work hard for it. There is an ongoing pandemic that most people have chosen to be silent about. Women are their own worst enemies.
Imagine how the world would be if we could share our hopes and fears together without fear of being judged. Everyone is afraid to admit their weaknesses because they are not sure of who to trust ..” what if she blows the whistle?”, one imagines. So, she confides in a man and if she’s unlucky, he takes advantage of her.
We seem to turn a deaf ear to the stories we hear about the consequences of other people’s actions.
The Bible is so true guys. Instead of going through the fire ourselves, why not avoid the fire entirely by learning from the burns others have sustained.
Why ruin another woman’s home when you can make your own home. Can’t find a man? It’s not the end of the world. What if Christ Himself is married to you and wants to accomplish something great with you? Think outside of the box and cast your net wide. Ask God some questions. He always answers.
How well do you know that woman’s husband you’re so consumed with desire for? If he was a disciplined man, he wouldn’t have eyes for another except his wife. Or is it that you’re busy studying his weaknesses so you would trap him with your net of deception? This is not to pass judgement but to prick our consciences a bit. Is there really a good night sleep knowing there is no difference between you and the cat waiting to devour the fish in the pantry? We all have covetous tendencies every now and then but don’t let that rule you. “Resist the devil and he will flee from you”.
Where is the satisfaction in sharing the same body fluid with what you know belongs to someone else? Let us be each other’s keeper. In the same way you’re able to control yourself from stealing, can you also tell yourself, “that man belongs to someone else”, no matter how attractive he is.
And to the young man, why trade your destiny for only a piece of meat?
The writer of proverbs says, the way of the strange woman leads to the grave.
Let us rise as one body and teach our younger girls to work hard and be self sufficient.
To our little boys, instead of spoiling them, let’s teach them how to cook like we’d teach the girls. Let the boys know the blessing of leaving home completely and cleaving to your significant other. There’s a saying that goes, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”.
I believe if a man knows how to cook and look after himself, the wrong woman will not find her way into his heart.
Let us conscientize ourselves to stand up for each other by calling a spade a spade and be genuinely happy for your neighbor knowing and believing that God has a purpose for each one of us. The biggest gift the creator gave us was our will. In other words, He’s given us the ability to chart our own course. When life throws you a curve, try as much as you can to straighten it, if it becomes difficult, remember that the story about you only begins from the ditch that you fall in. Nobody is interested in the end product but the story behind the success.. Build a great story.
