Romans 8:18-19 NIV I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

God has a unique purpose for every single person on earth. We are not just here to add to population. What makes the difference is that, most people will not discover their purpose.
In the same way human beings create objects to solve specific problems, how much more the ultimate creator. For example, pens were created to make our thoughts visible and clothes were also invented to solve the problem of nakedness.
Believe it or not, God created each one of us to solve a specific problem, and it doesn’t matter how big or small.
Getting married to a man doesn’t just mean to procreate or to share his bed. God has a purpose for that union.
God designed marriage to make us Holy rather than to make us happy, or maybe both. An example of fulfilling purpose in marriage is the story of Priscilla and Aquila in the Bible, who worked together teaching, ministering and opening their homes to others. That is typical model of a biblical marriage to emulate.

Romans 16:3: “Give my greetings to Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in the ministry of Christ Jesus.

I believe God uses marriage to refine us and make us virtuous. More women than men tend to suffer abuse, rejection, persecution, and what have you. If you find yourself reading this blog and going through any of the above mentioned, have you stopped to ask yourself what God may be teaching you out of all this? Your outcome depends on the lens through which you see your problems. Instead of pitying yourself and seeking empathy from others, pray for strength and direction. Shy away from being the duck, who only quacks and quacks. Be quiet and use the opportunity to soar like an Eagle. It is all part of the refining process.
Bear in mind that God Himself doesn’t take us through trials, but He allows it so that through it all, our various gifts will be prepared.
If you don’t allow yourself to drown in your trials, it will rather make you stronger and teach you to build others up because you’ve been faced with what it’s like to be torn down. True purpose is mostly birthed through pain. Aren’t the best marriage counselors the ones who’ve been broken before? Experience, they say is the best teacher. Allow yourself to encounter problems and naturally build your own model of how things work.
It took me a long time to realize one important aspect about my own life. I would always give, give and give everything I had, from counsel to giving away the very little left of me to others. One day I screamed, “ why do I always have to be the one to rescue
others, yet, I have to solve my own problems!”. I felt the Lord respond, “ It’s because I’ve made you a supplier, not a collector”. Years later, I find myself running a charitable organization.
God didn’t promise us a life full of roses but He promises to be there when we call on Him. It’s tough, yes, but the tough times we go through leave an indelible mark in our lives, which in the end forms part of who we are if we allow him in the picture. If we don’t allow Him in, our talents and gifts begin to swallow us up and either kills or destroys us- because we do not use it for His glory-.
